Here are some of the Executive Board and Senior Officers during the meeting, and of course is our Executive Chairman, Bryce Cooper, keeping the meeting on target.	The meeting is very exciting at times, as you can see Mandy is very happy to be there.

Affirmative Action Bake Sale [10-09-03]
We attracted much media attention (2 TV stations, 2 radio stations, and 2 newspapers) with an event that modeled cookies for prices based on sex and race, just as our universities and businesses must value people differently with our affirmative action system in the United States. We made a very clear statement of the injustices this ignorant practice that continues even today, and does exist in the hiring at USI.

UN Flag Demonstration [04-13-03]
We involved many community leaders to ask Dr. Hoops to remove the United Nations flag that flies on USI's campus, which flies in preference to our own state flag, because we do not believe it belongs on our campus.

USICR Valentine's Day Dance [02-14-03]
The USI College Republicans sponsored a dance for the entire campus to participate. A DJ, food, and lots of dancing was our proud contribution to the campus on a special night for couples. Speaking of which, pictured below was our official Cutest Couple of the night, Mr. & Mrs. Verly Booher!


USICR Charity Drive [01-15-03, 01-21-03, 01-22-03] We had a very successful drive for clothing, toys, and canned goods. The resulting materials (like 10 huge bags full) will be donated to the Evansville Salvation Army.

USICR Presents Evansville Police Dept. with Appreciation Plaque [09-11-02] In appreciation of Police Officers all over the United States, we presented our local Evansville Police Department with a plaque stating as much. We were very appreciative of Chief David Gulledge's time on such a busy day for the department.


USICR Presents Evansville Fire Dept. with Appreciation Plaque [9-11-02] We also gave a plaque to our local Evansville Fire Department. Chief Mike Humphrey was gracious enough to accomodate us, as well.




A look back at Year 1 of USICR:

Hostettler Symposium w/Senator Lugar and U.S. Rep Hostettler [02-23-02]
USICR was proud to help sponsor the Hostettler Symposium, featuring our only Republican Senator for the State of Indiana, Richard Lugar, and our Republican U.S. Congressman, John Hostettler. Many other featured panelists consisting of: the Mayor of Evansville, Russell Lloyd, the Mayor of Petersburg, Randy Harris, President of the 2nd Amendment Patriots, Jim Tomes, Restoring Our Heritage President, Jeff Selby, The Largest Right to Life Group in the world's Executive Director, Mike Fichter, and many more. Over 150 college students from schools throught Indiana including: IU, Purdue, Butler, UE, and more. This was a huge success! Thanks to Jim Banks and Eric Davis for doing 110% of the job.

Famous NBA Basketball star and candidate for Secretary of State, Kent Benson, visited with us and spoke of his efforts to aid in state government and to help Republicans win. We took a picture of the USICRs present at that meeting.

This was our first official engagement on campus. Our U.S. Congressman of the 8th District in Indiana, John Hostettler, dropped by and spoke to a crowd of over 50. We took a picture of the USICRs present, our organization advisor, and Congressman Hostettler.

Fundraiser Car Wash [09-15-01]
• We had a very successful car wash on Saturday, September 15th, 2001 from 10am til 2pm at Fazoli's on Green River Rd. in Evansville. We raised over just over $200 and will be giving 25% to the relief effort in New York and Washington. Half went to the Twin Towers Fund, established by Rudolph Juliani to help families of firefighters, and the Pentagon Assistance Fund, which will help the familes of the lost Armed Forces men who perished. Thank you for all of you who donated!
